Our Commission Process
The process outlined below is relevant for any piece of commission work undertaken by Terrain By Hand:
-
- Submit your enquiry
- Receive a request for a consultation (if appropriate)
- Receive a quote from us
- Once you accept the quote, the quoted deposit must be paid before work can proceed
- Upon receipt of paid deposit, we will confirm your order, book the work into our schedule, and inform you of the delivery window
- Receive updates from us, with photos where possible
- Once the work has been completed, we will get in touch to seek your approval to proceed with finishing steps
- Once finalised, any outstanding payment must be made before goods can be released
- Upon receipt, the goods will be carefully packaged up and prepared for dispatch
- Send us your photos of our work in action!
If, at any point, you request changes to the agreed work (as per your order confirmation), the existing work will cease, and you will be re-quoted accordingly. Work will only continue once you accept the revised quote.
Standards of Finish
Clear communication is key to us meeting your needs. To help us to understand your expectations, please refer to the table below when making an enquiry:
BRONZE
|
“Tabletop Ready” standard, ideal if you’re working on a budget or to a deadline.

“Tabletop Plus” standard, perfect if you want a little more detail.
We suggest that this is the minimum standard for 3D printed terrain, or plastic terrain kits. |
GOLD |
“Box Art” standard, if you want us to add some finishing touches.
|
Additional charges will be added to your quote to cover the use of any premium materials, such as:
- Resin / water effects
- Static grasses
- Balsawood
